The graduate specialization in international development provides an opportunity for graduate students to obtain a comprehensive and contemporary academic experience in the field of international development studies.
Administered by the College of Social Science, the graduate specialization in international development is available to students who are enrolled in master’s or doctoral degree programs at MSU. Students may receive certification of completion of either the specialization for master's students or the specialization for doctoral students, but not for both.
The College of Social Science has provided a list of core courses for students interested in the graduate specialization in international development. Students interested in earning certification must meet with the adviser for the specialization to develop a plan for completion. The graduate academic adviser is located in the Center for Gender in Global Context. For more information, contact the graduate academic adviser or see the graduate specialization in international development in the MSU Course Catalog.
